Ashley Wilburn is a native of Hagerstown in Maryland. She graduated from North Hagerstown High School where she received her secondary education. With a deep-rooted love for family law, Ashley's current legal practice focuses on various aspects of family matters. She focuses the majority of her practice on divorce cases, alimony disputes the distribution of marital property child custody battles child support arrangements, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, post-divorce enforcement and issues such as step-parent or private party adoptions as well as concerns regarding child welfare. Ashley has been as a mediator appointed by the court since the year 2019, assisting parties in helping them resolve their disputes without the needing court involvement. In addition to mediations that are court-appointed, Ashley also mediates in private matters for those who wish to avoid the litigation and court process.

After finishing her undergraduate studies at Loyola University of Maryland, where she received dual Bachelor's degrees in History and Political Science, Ashley pursued her legal education at Western New England University School of Law. After graduating in 2013, she excelled in her studies, placing among the top 10 students in her class. Ashley was a Note Editor for the Western New England Law Review during her time in law school. This demonstrated her commitment to scholarship and research in the field of law.

Ashley began her clerkship after completing her law degree. She worked for distinguished jurists from Connecticut and Maryland. She was fortunate to serve as a law assistant for the Honorable Richard A. Robinson at the Connecticut Appellate Court and the Honorable Elliott D. Prescott. Then, in 2014, she returned home to her hometown of Hagerstown to serve as a clerk for the Honorable M. In 2015, Ashley joined the esteemed law firm of Poole & Kane, P.A. As an associate attorney. The primary role she played was representing the Washington County Department of Social Services in matters pertaining to child welfare. Through her dedication, Ashley played a vital role in assisting children who had suffered abuse or neglect at the from their parents or caregivers. Her commitment to tackling social injustice went beyond her legal profession as she was an active member of the Washington County Human Trafficking Task Force. She worked tirelessly to educate the public about human trafficking in the tri-state region.

In 2017 she was a founding member of Kane, Wilburn & Stone, P.A., and developed her practice in family law, including custody, divorce guardianships, child maintenance and divorce and financial and estate planning - wills, trusts and powers of attorney, advance directives/healthcare proxies and mediation.

Ashley established Wilburn Law Office, LLC in 2023. Ashley founded Wilburn Law Office, LLC with the goal of providing an individual approach to each client's requirements.
